balik kampung

In about 2 and a half hours' time, my uncle is gonna pick me up and send me to the airport ;)

I'll be lying if I said that I'm feeling okay about it.

Because I'm FUCKING excited now XD


So watch out, cos Joey's gonna be in town tomorrow ;D I bet the SPM-ers will do extremely well in their Bio papers because Joey's grand arrival is DAMN auspicious okay!?! XD

I started packing yesterday and FUCK ME ; I was feeling so fucked up because there's just way too many things to bring back home! Some internal conflicts arised, but they're all settled now. *inhales*

Then I went for dinner with Lucy yesterday. We caught up with each others' social lives; it seemed like it's been forever since we've hung out, but the last time I saw her was during orientation -_-

And had steamboat/hotpot!



I'm surprised that I couldnt eat as much anymore =( Lucy ate more than me ; and this has NEVER happened before. Damn damn damn, age is catching up on me *argh back pain!*



Yesterday night too, I did all my online check in and printed my boarding pass.
It's gonna be EFFING cool because I don't need a guardian to sign a freaking form cuz I'm underaged, BECAUSE I'M OVER 17 YEARS OLD NOW XD
My uncle will just drop me off at the airport and HAHAH, time to be an independent woman *winks*

This is the number of items I'll be bringing in. Thank God for the baggage limit of 40kg (student price), or else I wouldnt be able to bring that much things -.-"
I'll look like a silly clumsy person strutting down the airport carrying ALL FOUR ITEMS ZOMG.

I'll probably reach the airport at around 9pm. I have around 4 hours till my flight -.-"
It's all cool, because I'll be watching videos to keep myself occupied! HAHAHAH! :D

OKAY THEN, I'M BUBBLING IN EXCITEMENT NOW.

year 11 formal - mad as night

I'm finally blogging about the formal! :D Us girls were super damn hyped up about it. It is a need for us to panlengleng (inspired by Estelle who got inspired by Cheesie) because we're girls. That's what girls do, I guess?

Okay, I was going for a Jenny Humphrey inspired look; as in a rocker chick look. I am pretty pleased with the final look with the shorter dress, the messed-up hair and the dark smokey make-up.

Dress - I got my dress from MNG for RM100 (hehe dirt cheap!). It was originally around knee-length. On Monday (the day before formal) night, my housemate stormed into my room and told me that she'll alter my dress to let it have some sort of "ruffles" below and make it shorter. I was pretty concerned when she offered to help, because her only textiles experience was altering her school uniform! I'm pleased with the outcome anyways. Thanks heaps, Aileen! (:


Messed-up hair - Sherilynn and I bought this hair spray which will make you look like as if you just got out from the beach! She wanted a Megan Fox look, and I wanted a rocker chick look. So I guess the hair spray complements our needs! Thank you Darleen and Maymay for helping me "boof" up my hair ;D


Make-up - Thank you, Estelle's mum for the awesome dark smokey eye make-up! It really brought out the rockerness within me ;D Oh and thank you Estelle, May and Sherilynn for the foundation, [inserts list of make-up items]! Love you all! :D:D:D


The day before the formal, I tried to shove in contact lenses onto my eyes. It was a tedious chore - it took me 1 damn hour to do it!

Next day, I woke up at 6am just for the contacts (it took me an hour, as expected). That day itself, we had our Year 12 orientation. I was very intimidated by the thought of entering Year 12 at the end of the day. Truckloads of vacation homeworks are a little bit too much for the summer holidays! Did I mention that I went to school in my contacts? Everyone was like, "Joey, I couldn't recognise you!" and "WTF happened to your glasses?" Some went, "What's with the scratch on your face?"
Okay so on Monday, I went to the city with Tracy and Zoe. I was trying on clothes and was in a rush; so as I took off the clothes, the label tag scratched my face and kapooow, a long-ass scratch appeared. First thought : FML, FORMAL'S TOMORROW!
After school, I went to Estelle's place to dress up and all. I took a 45-min nap :) Mmmmm, I needed it.

Priscilla came, followed by Sherilynn and May (she did her hair somewhere in Springvale).
Estelle's toilet became our make-up room XD Long story short, it was a mad afternoon. I pity Estelle the most; she helped most of us first before rushing through her hairdo. She looked great anyway! =D

We finally reached Golden Sands, the venue of the formal. The exterior of the building was a total turn-off. It looked like some cheap- ass run-down place. It suddenly reminded me of those old buildings you find alongside a kampung street somewhere -.-" I thought, "No wonder we paid only $52 for this........"

But the interior of Golden Sands was quite pleasant! Very ball-ish, and all ready for a school formal/prom! =P Because we were early, we did what was expected - camwhoreee.
I felt so uneasy in my dress because 1. it's a dress and 2. it's Joey Woo IN a dress.



It doesn't look that bad! THANK GOD FOR THAT!

After entree, the DJ called us all out to the dance floor and....


LOL I crack up laughing everytime I see this picture.. The atmosphere there was freaking hot. Everyone started sweating and Sherilynn came up with the most brilliant idea - wave your hands up in the air, to cool your sweating armpits XD Look how happy they were after that! XD


We decided to take slutty pictures, and DAYUMMM, what a freaking SLUT SHERILYNN IS! Let HER natural sluttiness prevail! The rest of us look like amateurs when compared to Sherilynn! =P



So so so, did it work? *puppy dog eyes*

superduperultracolourful partayyye

I'm finally getting my lazy ass back to blog. I really am feeling damn fucked up when it comes to blogging because seriously, how many people actually bothers reading www.lemonquacksnblabbers.blogspot.com? Anywhoos, I'm typing this for a very good friend of mine, Estelle Shee XD

Theme of the party : COLOURS. There's actually rules to it. It goes like this; if you're wearing 1 or 2 colours, you have to "reserve" the particular colour you want; ie. no one can have the same colour as you unless you wear 3 different colours, and the 3 colours you chose won't be eliminated and will be available for others to grab. Black and white are not counted as colours.
Get it?

The first thing I thought was...MICHAEL JACKSON. So I went for a MJ-inspired style - oversized red tee + skinny jeans + fedora + blazer. May lent me her fedora and blazer :) mm, so MJ X)

So this was how I looked that day. Red tee was from SUPRE (I went to the one in Chaddy, not in Glenny ffs) - it was supposed to be an oversized tee, so I got an XL; didnt work out like what I wanted though.

I met up with Zoe and we went to Safeway to get ingredients cos we decided to surprise Estelle with CUPCAKES. We went shopping for accessories after that (chhyeah I have a feeling that I'm changing =S)

Off we went back to Z's place. Googled recipes for making cuppiecakes and tadaaa,we started *snaps finger dramatically*! It's a big annoyance because the measurements written on the recipe found on the internet are not in grams. So we googled some measurement converter! LOL look at the extent we went to, Estelle!
